Anderson, SC — Spencer Scott Medlin, 62, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at AnMed Medical Hospital.
Born on November 8, 1963, and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Spencer was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and unwavering honesty touched the lives of many. Known for his quick wit, genuine nature, and ability to fix just about anything, he earned the nickname “Mr. Fix-It” from those who knew him best.
Spencer worked for many years in maintenance, where his skill and dedication were highly valued. Later, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming a truck driver, a career that allowed him to travel, experience new places, and enjoy the open road he loved so much.
He was a loyal fan of the Carolina Gamecocks and enjoyed keeping up with his favorite YouTubers. He also faithfully supported the Perry Stone Foundation, reflecting his generous spirit and caring heart.
Spencer’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his daughters, Maranda (Cody) Watson, and Kayla (Brett) Banker; the mother of his children, Donna Medlin; his cherished grandchildren, Anna Watson, Grey Watson, Seelie Watson, Lilly Banker, and Baylee Banker; his brother, Butch Driver; his brother Tony (Rene) Driver; and his sister, Pam Medlin and her Life-Partner David Hamm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Cleo Medlin, Jr. and Lily Frances Medlin; his sister, Dian Driver; and his brothers, Chip Medlin and Danny Driver.
Spencer will be remembered for his loving heart, steadfast devotion to his family, strong work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral and memorial service arrangements will be announced by the family.
