Sheryl “Sheri” Laufenberg
Sheryl “Sheri” Kay Laufenberg, age 55, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born March 3, 1969, in Sacramento, CA, she was the daughter of Dorothy Joy Hale Laufenberg and the late Duane Joseph Laufenberg. Sheri and mom “Dottie” were a lifelong team that were usually on the go and nearly inseparable.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Brian Laufenberg; sister-in-law, Lorri Laufenberg; niece, Lyndsi Laufenberg; and her dearest boyfriend for decades, Billy Adams. Billy and Sheri were a very special couple that created fun wherever they were, especially on the dance floor.
Sheri was always the shining light in the room and was known to be the world’s best hugger. She attended Laurel Ruff School when young and then the AIM Higher Program in Sacramento for most of her adult life. Sheri was very active in bowling, square dancing, and both singing in the choir and leading the choir with sign language. All that knew her also understood her great appreciation for Knight Rider!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to organizations supporting Alzheimer’s and Hospice, or programs that aid those with Down Syndrome.
