Robert Boyd Mangum
Robert Boyd Mangum, 95, died on September 20, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born on July 11, 1930, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late W. Curtis Mangum and the late Lena Biggers Mangum. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is survived by his daughter Melissa Langford and son-in-law Ken, and his son Boyd Mangum and daughter-in-law Elaine. Additionally, he is survived by six grandchildren, Anne Mackie (Sherrod), Elizabeth Farr (Matt), Bryan Mangum, John Langford (Mimi), Caroline Strauss (Matt), and William Langford (Ginny Cohen); and ten great grandchildren, Rohen Farr, Ella Mackie, Rob Farr, James Langford, Bridge Strauss, Margot Langford, Beau Strauss, Kody Mangum, Eli Mackie, and Parks Strauss.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Doane Herring Mangum and his brothers, Walter Mangum, Jack Mangum, and Fred Mangum.
A graveside service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25th.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pastoral Care Ministry, Grace Episcopal Church, 711 S. McDuffie Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
