Es tut mir sehr leid, auch ich habe viele schöne Erinnerungen an unsere Schulzeit. Es war viel zu früh. Ich denke an seine Familie in dieser schweren Zeit des Abschieds.

Mike was a great and true friend of mine. We knew each other for over 20 years. We not only had a work relationship but a great friendship. We shared meals together and had many conversations about life. Mike had a great heart and was always ready to help people. He would give you his last dollar. Mike will be deeply missed.

Michael is a good man, and a good friend to Renate. Death doesn't change that. He will be deeply missed.

Dad, I will always remember you fondly for the gentle, funny and kind man you were. I will always remember us cooking together in that little kitchen in your house, you being so proud of me learning how to cook on the grill all by myself. I will remember your laugh and twinkle in your eye whenever you shouting we were going for ice cream, rubbing your hands together and laughing as we waited in line. I will remember your strong hugs and feeling so safe and sound in your embrace. I will remember you taking me and Logan on the lake in the kayaks, and your love of nature and everything beautiful in the world. Though you have left me, I will cherish everything you have given me in my memory. I will look for you in the warmth of summer and the flowers in spring. And I will patiently wait till we can see each other again. I love you and thank you for being my dad.

There are a hundred things I want to say, and yet none of them feel right. It feels like every thing that I look at, it reminds me of you. Every conversation that I have with others, it reminds me of the ones we've had. I feel upset, angry, regretful, guilty. Worst of all, I feel a little more lonely. But I know that's not what you would have wanted. You'd want me to hold my head high and be happy, because that's what you did. So I'll try my best, because I know that the grief I feel just reminds of how much I love you. I'm gonna miss you a lot, Dad.
