She was born in Augusta, Georgia, and spent her life caring for others, both personally and professionally. Sherlyn was an extraordinary nurse who made a lasting difference in the lives of countless people. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit touched everyone she encountered.
Sherlyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Smith, and her beloved husband, James M. Brown.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her three children, James Renew Jr. and his wife Danielle Renew, Tonia Renew, and Tina Renew, and a proud and doting grandmother to her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave them unwavering love, strength, and support throughout her life.
Sherlyn will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her selflessness, and the way she always put others before herself. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing her.
