Christopher Eric Haney
Christopher Eric Haney, age 38, passed away on February 24, 2026, after battling addiction.
He was a talented AWS/6G certified welder by trade. He attended Johnson & Wales Culinary University pursuing his passion for creating food. He loved fishing, Clemson tailgating, grilling, and Brave’s baseball. His “Scooby Doo” laugh was infectious. His smile, as genuine as the beach air at Pawley’s. His bearhug, heavy and engulfing. He lived life hard and fearless.
He leaves behind two young daughters, Everly Brynn and Kaydence Mae, his mother, Sara S. Haney, sisters, Stephanie H. Miller (Michelle Miller) and Rebecca Haney, aunts, Esther Smith, Janice Allison and Lori Nguyen (Thomas Nguyen) and his cousin Andy Cash.
He is predeceased by his father, William (Bill) W. Haney Jr., Grandparents, William (Wally) W. Haney Sr. & Barbara Haney, Wayman A. Smith & Lena F. Smith, and his aunt Margaret S. Brown.
If you struggle with addiction:
