Phillip Eugene Saladin
Phillip Eugene Saladin, 61, of Ninety Six, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Phil was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Jean Saladin. He is survived by “his better half” Carrie Hurd, his daughter Myranda (Andrew) Vickery, his son Drew (Samantha) Saladin, his son Garrett Hurd, his 5 grandchildren: Kennadi, Paizlianna, Sperry, Walker, and Bennett, and his brother Donnie (Nancy) Saladin. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Mike and Joe Saladin Jr.
Phil loved life. He loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed wood working- especially when he could make things for others. He loved live music and going to car shows. He was affectionately known as “Grandpa Cookie” by his grandchildren, because he always had cookies in hand.
Phil’s family would like to thank the Self Regional Cancer Center Staff for their excellent care over the last 2 years.
The family will host a celebration of life at New Life Baptist Church Social Hall, 2500 Old Laurens Road in Greenwood, SC on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 4PM.
