Kenneth “Ken” Gunnels
Kenneth “Ken” Julian Gunnels, 80, died on April 2, 2026. Ken possessed a gregarious, outgoing nature and empathic heart. Ken had a rare gift for building community wherever he found himself, welcoming beloved friends and strangers alike with his warm handshakes and wide smile. Ken loved music with guitars, records, and concert stubs marking the eras of his life.
Born to Arthur Julian Gunnels and Hazel Powell Loudermilk, Ken is survived by his brothers Marshall Eugene Gunnels and Loyd Stephen Gunnels; his children Tina Lorraine Gunnels-Allaman, Dorien Gunnels, and Benjamin Gunnels; and his grandchildren Brianna Alexandria Allaman, Braeden Andrew Allaman, Brittani Noelle Rierson, Jasper, and Caspian.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Ken’s laughter and friendship will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
